children experience learning through exploration, imaginative play and experiential learning.
At Wesley Early Learning Center (WELC), children experience learning through exploration, imaginative play and experiential learning. We provide a faith-based learning environment where children will build a foundation of faith they can carry with them throughout their lives. Utilizing Abeka curriculum, WELC teaches social-emotional development as well as the building blocks of early learning that include phonemic awareness, numerical concepts and environmental exploration.
WELC provides development in these areas for the students, families, and staff:
Experiential educational development
Social emotional development
Leadership development
Familial spiritual development and integration
WELC will serve lunch Monday-Friday along with a morning, afternoon and evening snack.
A Ministry of the United Methodist Church
Building on a 250-year history of Methodist communities investing in education, the United Methodists in South Wise County have joined together in cooperative ministry to launch the Wesley Early Learning Center. Hosted on the campus of First UMC Boyd, Wesley Early Learning Center seeks to invest in the lives of children & families across South Wise County. We are especially grateful for the vision & support of Rhome UMC, First UMC Boyd, and the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
If you are interested in connecting with our United Methodist communities in Rhome or Boyd, please reach out to Rev. Tiffany Danna (pastor@fumc-boyd.org / 940-433-5334), Pastor of Rhome UMC & FUMC Boyd.
